The one and only 001 has not only made a comeback to the entertainment space but also publicly confirmed his marriage to his long-time fiancee Chioma Avril Rowland. The Jowo hitmaker confirmed in his first interview since he took a break from the spotlight after losing his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, in October 2022. Speaking with popular TV host, KieKie during a March 30 interview tagged, “A timeless conversation with Davido”, the award-winning singer happily announced that he is married and showed off his wedding ring. Weeks following the tragedy that left Davido and Chefchi devastated, there were reports that the singer tied the knot to his fiancee to console her and remind her that he would always be there for her regardless of their predicaments.
Unfortunately, the grieving couple never confirmed if the assurance was now secured even after they were spotted together on November 28, 2022, at Davido’s uncle’s inauguration as Osun State Governor. The couple made the brief appearance that saw Davido flaunt a wedding ring before disappearing again. Many months later, the Afrobeats star finally returned to the entertainment scene on March 21. In a poetic post on Instagram, the DMW boss revealed that he stood strong as he sang despite grieving his son. Revealing what he’s been up to since he took a break, Davido told fans that he is back to making music, and his first masterpiece is his latest album, ‘Timeless.” The Afrobeat hitmaker also made clear that he has been enjoying married life. Ordinarily, this should call for celebration, but it has only got many people worried about Chioma as they wonder when she will be making her own comeback to social media and if she will ever stop grieving her beloved late son.
