Popular Nigerian singer Simi has taken to social media to kick against the idea of sending delegates from the #EndSARS protest to dialogue with the federal government.
Simi believes that appointing representatives could derail the #EndSARS movement.
The music star made this known via her Twitter page on Monday, October 19, 2020, where she warned of the downsides of sending reps to negotiate with political leaders.

Simi stated that the current movement is so enormous and daunting to be left on the shoulders of a few, and the reps could easily fall short of meeting everyone’s demand at the dialogue table because the situation at hand affects everyone differently.
Instead, the singer insisted that the government should address the whole nation through a press conference and say whatever they want to tell them rather than having a representative for dialogue.
“I don’t know how I feel about having appointed representatives,” she said. “I know the intent is good, but I believe that whatever the Nigerian Govt wants to say, they should say to everyone. Organize press conference and talk to all of us, cos this shoe is pinching everybody differently.
“If we choose anyone, it’s not far fetched to assume that they will automatically be burdened with the responsibility of the outcome of this movement. Divided we scatter. #EndSARS.”
