Bola Ahmed Adekunle Tinubu was born on March 29, 1952, in Osun State. His mother, Abibatu Mogaji was the Iyaloja of Lagos before she died. He completed his primary and Secondary education at St. John Primary School, Lagos, and Children’s Home School, Ibadan before proceeding to the US to complete his higher education.
He would later earn a first degree in Accounting from Chicago State University and then work with top American companies such as Deloitte, G.E Services Corporation, Haskins & Sells, Arthur Anderson, and Nigerian Oil company, Mobil Oil. Today, Tinubu holds two titles, the Asiwaju of Lagos and the Jagaban of the Borgu Kingdom in Niger State.
