Yakubu Aiyegbeni, better known as ‘The Yak’ is famous for his brilliant goal-scoring accuracy. Nicknamed the one-man premier league wrecking ball, Yakubu Aiyegbeni retired as the highest goal-scoring African in premier league history coming after Didier Drogba and Emmanuel Adebayor. He scored a total of 95 goals in 252 premier league appearances.
For many years, haven played for the Nigerian national team and represented the country in 4 African Cup of Nations, the 2010 FIFA world cup, and 2000 Summer Olympic games. Yakubu takes the award for the third-highest goalscorer in the Nigerian National team’s history.
