Shegah shut down London at her promotional party which took place over the weekend atAlpha Lounge, London. The Ghanian dance hall queen performed her hits; Big It Up, Dem Marking Time, Pasapasa and Fanta Baby, and gained a lot of new London based fans who danced continuously in rhythm as she sang.
The event which took place on Saturday, May 19th same day as the royal wedding didn’t fail to pull her crowd. After arriving in a Limousine, the dance hall queen struck poses with fans and had some interviews. Known as the Godmother of GH Dancehall, Shegah has already bagged a music deal with Magic Records.
When you think it couldn’t get better, she performed her ‘Big It Up’, and the crowd went wild.
‘She is absolutely amazing, the music was really good, I’m a fan right now’, said a London based new fan during the party.
With the change of music trends in Ghana which affected most pioneer musicians, Shegah decided to hibernate and re-brand her genre from hiplife to reggae/dancehall which is the trending and booming genre in Ghana today.
