H.E. Toyin Saraki and CEO WBFA, Stephen Sobhani attend the White House Global Development Summit

The Founder and President of the Wellbeing Foundation Africa, Her Excellency Toyin Saraki, and the Chief Executive Officer, Stephen Sobhani were honoured with an invitation to participate at the White House Global Development Summit holding at Washington DC at 9:00 GMT.
The summit will bring together civil society, non-governmental organisations and private sector partners to celebrate and to acknowledge the progress, which has taken place in various sectors in Global Development.

Her Excellency, Toyin Saraki will be speaking on the progress made in moving towards achieving global development goals and also emphasising on the fact that there is so much left to be done.

Her Excellency will also be speaking on the importance of midwives in reducing the rate of maternal and newborn mortality and achieving sustainable development goals. Hence, stating the importance of educating, equipping, deploying and empowering midwives and wider health professionals in Nigeria and across Africa to ensure progress.

The Chief Executive Officer, Stephen Sobhani will speak on the need to ensure that maternal, newborn, adolescent and child health remains a global health priority while also commending the progress made in the health sector globally.

The White House Summit on Global Development will be focusing on global health, energy, food security, good governance, partnership, and youth engagement. All participants; development leaders, public and private sector partners, civil society, diplomats, and entrepreneurs are also encouraged to celebrate shared contributions that have led to dramatic progress in these sectors.
