Veteran Nollywood actress Hilda Dokubo has questioned President Muhammadu Buhari‘s decision to ease lockdown order in the country despite the continues surge in coronavirus cases.

Hilda Dokubo believes the president was not properly informed prior to his decision to lift  movement restrictions imposed in the country to curb the spread of Covid-19.

The activist who has been vocal about the government claimed some people are lying to president Buhari about how the pandemic is being managed.

The actress made this known in a lengthy video via her Instagram page on Friday, April 1, 2020, where she called out those allegedly misleading the president.

Hilda Dokubo believes the president was not properly informed prior to his decision to lift the lockdown imposed in the country to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

According to her, officials in the government’s inner caucus are feeding the president with censored information, and he cannot be allowed to reach decisions on the strength of a lie.

She also gave a breakdown of the potential dangers that could happen following the ease of the lockdown. Speaking further, Dokubo went on to urge Nigerians to take responsibility for their safety and life as the easing of movement restriction is by no means an indication that the country is winning the fight against Covid-19.

“Who exactly is lying to the president? Who? The president has announced the ease of the lockdown on the strength of a lie. We’ve been locked down for 5 weeks, prior to the lockdown, they made us a commitment of testing a thousand five testings every day,” she said.
