Nigerian singer Harrysong has taken to social media to express his displeasure over President Buhari‘s impending loan request from the IMF.

Harrysong is not in support of the Senate decision to approve President Buhari’s fresh N850bn loan request from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) that would be used to fund government projects across the country.

The disgruntled music star recently took to his Instagram page on Tuesday, April 29, 2020, where he called on the president to stop borrowing money from other countries to fund its project.

In his post, Harrysong noted that he is scared of the move to borrow the huge amount of money.

According to him, the government should rather invest in the education sector to sustain the intelligent minds who are able to revive the country’s economy.

Speaking further, he went on to appeal to the president to start issuing free grants to students.

“Buhari invest in education, it is never too late, start paying students, we need brains to sustain this country’s economy and please stop borrowing money from other countries oooooo. I dey shake ooo,” he wrote.

Harrysong’s post comes barely 24 hours after the House of Senate gave the green light for Muhammadu Buhari’s request to raise a fresh loan of N850 billion from the domestic capital market to fund projects in the 2020 budget.
