Top Nigerian singer Iyanya has been charged with crime related to car theft by the Special Fraud Unit of the Nigerian police.
Iyanya was arraigned before a High Court in Lagos on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, for allegedly stealing a car, Punch reports.
The stolen vehicle in question is said to be a Black Toyota Land Cruiser Prado Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) marked MAVINIY, with Chassis and Engine Number JTEBX7FJ7EK165480 and 2TRI385954
It is also said to belong to ‘The Temple Management Company Ltd which the music star allegedly dishonestly converted to his use or that of another person.
According to reports, the offense was said to have been committed sometime in September 2018 in Lagos State. Iyanya finally appeared in court for arraignment after previously declining to show up, and pleaded not guilty to the charge.
