Renounced American rapper Kanye West says he is born again and declares Christianity his new faith after holding a church service on the streets of America in a video currently doing the rounds on social media.
The multiple award winner was in Washington over the weekend and made a surprise stop at Howard University where he held a listening party for his new album, Jesus Is King.
In a crowed auditorium, Kanye could be heard saying: “I want to let you know that I am not here for your entertainment this afternoon, we are here to spread the gospel.”
“Excuse me if I mispronounce anything, I am a recent convert. It means I recently got saved within the year.”
While wielding the microphone, he also knelt down and prayed saying: “show my people the way, show us how to love, how to give and how to pray.”
The 41-year old has been seen attending church services more frequently since the turn of 2019.
