sportswear giant Nike has released a short film to celebrate Kobe Bryant‘s Hall of Fame basketball career, along with its successful longtime partnership and impact on the athletic industry.
The film titled ‘Better’ was released on Sunday, August 23, 2020, which would have been Kobe’s 42nd birthday.
Better is narrated by rapper Kendrick Lamar and focuses on what the athletic wear firm calls “The universal relevance of progress, and highlights Kobe’s prolific desire for improvement. The Mamba Mentality is about getting better, every day, in everything we do.”.
“Kobe taught us to be better,” Kendrick raps in the film, “a better teacher, a better teammate, a better loser, a better winner.”
Bryant died in a helicopter crash on Jan. 26 of this year with eight other people, including his daughter, Gianna.
He may be gone, but his legacy will continue to live on years and years after him.
