Pauline Long, the founder of BEFFTA (Black Entertainment Film Fashion Television and Arts) Awards has been shortlisted for LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD at the National Diversity Awards sponsored by Microsoft and The Guardian .


The National Diversity Awards 2014 will be hosted by TV Star Brian Dowling & British actress/CBeebies Presenter Cerrie Burnell at theHurlingham Club, London. The event has attracted endorsements from celebrities such as Stephen Fry, Jody Cundy, Beverley Knight and Brian Blessed who have all expressed their delight at supporting such an inspirational event! The National Diversity Awards continues to stand out as unique as it celebrates all aspects of diversity within one ceremony including Age, Disability, Gender, Race/Religion/Faith and LGBT.

The categories for the awards are as follows: Positive Role Model, Community Organisation, Community Organisation – Multi Strand, Entrepreneurial of Excellence, Diverse Company and Lifetime Achiever!
The National Diversity Awards is a prestigious black tie event which celebrates the excellent achievements of grass-root communities that tackle issues in today’s society, giving them recognition for their dedication and hard work.

Ms Long is the host of Pauline Long Show on BEN Television, a mother, an entrepreneur, a TV presenter, a philanthropist, a fashion designer and a mentor. She says it is “absolutely amazing” to be picked up from 21,000 people who were nominated in the UK. Ms Long hopes she has been shortlisted because of her success which she defines as all the things she’s done for people in the community, for the young people she mentors, and for the street children she has fed in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

The awards ceremony will be held in London on 26th September 2014 at Hurlingham Club.
