Tennis star, Serena Williams shared a gushing social media post after her close friend the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan was pictured rocking a blazer from her eponymous clothing line on the second day of her Australian royal tour. Just like some top designers, whose dream is to see the Duchess wearing creation, Serena is no exception.

The pregnant Duchess, who is expecting her first child with husband Prince Harry, teamed the £110 oversized ‘boss’ blazer with a classic white shirt and black jeans for an outing in Dubbo on Wednesday, October 17th.

The affordable oversized blazer is from the new line of Serena Williams brand.

Just hours later, Serena Williams’ official Instagram account shared side-by-side images of the athlete and the royal in the blazer, while the Serena online store was redesigned to feature a massive photo of Meghan at the top of the site.

With such heavy promotion, it is perhaps unsurprising the blazer entirely sold out online minutes after it was spotted.

Williams, a 23-time Grand Slam champion, launched her clothing line in May as she returned to the tennis circuit following the birth of her first child, Alexis Olympia Ohanian, in September 2017.

The designer reportedly sent one of the ‘Royal Duchess’ hoddies to Kensington Palace for the duchess to wear but the outing in Australia on Wednesday is the first time Meghan has worn one of Williams’ designs in public.

This goes to show no matter how successful you are, stay business focused all the time!
