Pauline Long UK-African/Caribbean Woman of the year

Award-winning media personality and BEFFTA founder Pauline Long awarded UK- African/Caribbean Women Of The Year 2014 Award. A ceremony held on February 5th 2015 at the Mayor of LamBeth Cllr Adedemola Aminu’s Parlour in Lambeth Town Hall, Brixton Hill, London. The event was a special one for her because her father was present at the event.

The AfroNews Top 10 UK – African/Caribbean Women Of The Year 2014 Awards Winners Includes: TV personality Pauline Long, Cllr Whitney Ihenachor, Dr Comfort Momoh MBE, Cllr Kate Anolue, Sonia Meggie, Justina Mutale, Fiona Small, Mama Charlotte Simon, Sherry Anne Dixon and June Daley. 

While; HRH Theodora Ibekwe-Oyebade, Dianne Abbott MP and Dr Nkem Ezeilo, received Special Lifetime Recognition Awards at the ceremony.

Mayor Aminu in his speech to the outstanding ladies said It is a great honour to have all these inspiring women in one room, the Mayor’s Parlour is open for you all. I’m here to support your wonderful Community projects. I would like to encourage you all to keep serving the Community to the best of your abilities. You have shown great leadership and selflessness so you all deserve the title of African/Caribbean Women of the Year.”

Mr Ongong’ thanked and called Pauline Long “A community champion” for working so hard to prepare the marvellous ceremony.
