Popular American movie producer Tyler Perry has voiced his dislike for The Oscars list of nominees released on Monday.
The Producer made this known while speaking to a man in a video captured by TMZ. In the video, Perry can be seen showing strong disapproval of the full nominees’ list after being asked how he was doing.
“I’m upset man,” Perry said. “J.Lo didn’t get nominated, are you kidding me? J.Lo and Awkwafina didn’t get nominated. She should have gotten nominated. That’s crazy.”
The nominees’ list for the 92nd Oscars was released in Los Angeles on Monday.
The list wasn’t without its usually controversy as there is still much unrest over its diversity.
For instance, no African movie or country got nominated for the Best International Film category. And stars with African heritages like Awkwafina, Lupita Nyong’s, Eddie Murphy and Beyonce were overlooked, with Cynthia Erivo being the only black actress nominated for the category of Lead Actress in the film, “Harriet.”
