The singer shared a series of tweets aimed at highlighting the gender bias concerning women and their cheating partners.
Popular Nigerian singer Yemi Alade has taken to social media to question why women are made to shoulder the blame when their partner cheats on them.
The perplexed music diva took to her Twitter page on Tuesday, September 22, 2020, where she put the question before her fans.
In her post, the music star was critical of those who are quick to blame women whose partners are not faithful to them.
Yemi professed that women have been conditioned by society to lose both ways when it comes to the issue of unfaithfulness in relationships.
According to her, women are faulted when their man cheats on then, but when they commit the same misdoing, are addressed as “slut”
“But why is it so easy to assume its the woman’s fault when a man cheats but when a woman cheats she is an sl*t ?” she quizzed.
The self-acclaimed Woman Of Steel went on to state that no matter how good a woman is, she can never be good enough for a man who is liable to cheat.
She added: Don’t people realize that no matter how good you are, you might never be Completely enough for some people, so they cheat. It’s not your fault!”
