Malala Yousafzai Girls’ education activist and Nobel prize winner, who narrowly avoided death after being shot by the Taliban for defending the right of girls to attend school, has gained a place to study at the University of Oxford.
Malala, age 20, revealed that she has been accepted to study philosophy, politics and economics (PPE) at the prestigious institution after receiving her A-level results yesterday August, 17th 2017.
She tweeted a screenshot of the confirmation and wrote; “So excited to go to Oxford!! Well done to all A-level students – the hardest year. Best wishes for life ahead!”
