Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Funke Akindele has cautioned Nigerians to be mindful of how they address people when mourning.

On her Instagram page, the Box Office King noted how she has been in such a situation, and it’s a terrible feeling to experience.

The mother of twins stated that if  they cannot be kind to those grieving, they should keep quiet. She added that they should love and support the bereaved.

Pls be watchful of what you say whenpeople are mourning. If you cannot be kind pls keep Quiet. May the Lord comfort those mourning. Amen.

Africanglitz reported that Funke Akindele lost her beloved mother on Tuesday night, February 7th, 2023.

The sad news was shared by her sister, Olubunmi Akindele, in a statement via her Instagram

Speaking out, Funke Akindele shared a video collage of her mother, stating that she and her siblings are not mourning her; rather, they are celebrating a life well lived.

The 2023 Lagos State deputy governorship candidate listed out her mother’s unique qualities, as she noted how her mother had instilled the spirit of prayer in her, her siblings, and even her young grandchildren.

A few days ago, actress Mary Remmy Njoku posed an important question to Nigerians as she reacted to the controversies surrounding Mohbad’s death.

Mary, who never listened to Malian songs, revealed that for the first time, she listened to his songs and watched disturbing videos online, which left her tear-jerking.

Calling for justice, she stated that his death makes her wonder about the value of human life in Nigeria.
