Prominent Nigerian media mogul and politician, Banky Wellington has joined the list of kindhearted celebrities cushioning the effect of the coronavirus lockdown on Nigerians with charity causes.
Banky W and his team recently went about the streets of Lagos distributing food items to the less privileged.
The singer took to social media via his Twitter page on Thursday, April 16, 2020, where he shared photos from the event.
Recapping the event, Banky W noted he and his team fed over 650 people in three local communities located around the Lagos Island.
He went on to appreciate those who contributed to the philanthropist movement in cash and kind.
“Thank you to all the residents who donated their money, and volunteered their time. We will do this every lockdown day by God’s grace #LekkiFoodBank #EachOneReachOne,” he captioned the photos.

This comes only a few days after Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh had distributed food materials to the less fortune in the country through her foundation.
In a post via her Instagram page, Tonto Dikeh shared photos from her charity cause and spoke on the hardship in Nigeria.
She described the hunger in Nigeria as becoming dangerous and then went on to recount how she and her team were dragged around by hungry extremists.
