Popular Nigerian music artist, Davido connected with Kanye West’s Sunday service choir for the hit song ‘stand strong’, a soulful and gospel single built on afro-fusion. The music ‘Stand strong’ was released on 13 May 2022 with its music video which was released on 25 May 2022. This song became the new song Davido was known for, especially as he is always standing strong.

Popular artist, Asake teamed up with the African giant Burna Boy for the remix of the song off his EP, which was released on 27th March. The video for Sungba remix is also exciting and was easily picked up by music lovers all across social media.

Multi-talented Afrobeats vocalist Oxlade released this sweet love song titled, ‘Want you’, on 18th March alongside its music video, days after the announcement that he has been signed to the international record label called Columbia record. As we speak, Want you is till one of the biggest trends of 2022, with many recreating the singer’s visuals for the song as a challenge.

Omah Lay, a popular Nigerian musician who collaborated with Justin Bieber early this year, released his new single and music video ‘Woman’ on 20th May, and Just as expected, it became one of the hottest afrobeat songs of 2022.

Calm down by Rema

Prince of Nigerian music, Rema, dropped his new album, Rave & Roses, on 11th February this year. The artist mentioned in his words, “Calm Down about the events that led me to finding love at that time”. With the world finally coming back to normal after the pandemic, Calm Donw became the perfect song for lowers, the track went viral internationally and went viral on platforms such as TikTok and Instagram where fans showed off their dance moves true challenges.

Legalize by Mr Eazi

Famous Nigerian singer Mr Eazi released a new song titled ‘Legalize’ on 10th June 2022. The music video captures an intimate moment Mr Eazi proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Temi Odetola. The music video is set in Venice, Italy, where the couple got engaged back in April this year.
