Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has taken to social media to distance herself from claims doing the round that she made away with giveaway money meant for less privileged Nigerians on lockdown.
Actress Eniola recently entered the bad book of several Nigerians after it was revealed that she demanded a fee of N150,000 from an online philanthropist who requested that she use her platform as a means to give out the sum of N500,000 to needy fans.
According to leaked conversation, Eniola only requested the fee after she received the giveaway fund from the good Samaritan. As a result, she was called out for fraud by disgruntled Nigerians who branded her a ‘thief’ and demanded that she returned the money back.
The movie star has now come out to clear the air concerning the issue. Eniola says she only charged a fee to cover up for the bank charges required to distribute the money.
According to her, as a businessman woman and influencer, it was normal for her to charge any sponsor looking to use her platform to render public services.
