Do you workout alone? Maybe you enjoy an occasional long run by yourself or perhaps you like cycling solo, but that doesn’t mean there’s no room for friends in your workout routine. In fact, if you’re trying to make exercise a habit or you’re hoping to hit a specific goal, a friend could be a big help. Workouts with a friend or friends has not only been proven to be more fun. Here are some great reasons why it will help you achieve your goals quicker.

Workouting together can be either with your best pal, your partner or some few friends. Warning, don’t invite a bunch of friends as you might not end up working out but doing something else like cracking a joke and lauging through out the succession.

Scheduling a gym session with a friend helps hold you accountable for getting your workout in. Meeting someone at the gym not only motivates you to show up, but to work hard as well as keeping your own side of the deal.

Working out with a friend means you have a built in spotter. Your partner or gym pal can count reps, check your form and help you make adjustments before they become painful mistakes.

The results suggest that people enjoy physical activity more when they’re with their friends.
