Popular singer Rema has become the latest celebrity to use the rising cases of coronavirus in Nigeria as a means to lambaste Nigerian politicians for neglecting the country’s healthcare industry.

Over the years there have been calls for the government to ramp up the several medical facilities located around the country.

Many Nigerians are of the opinion that politicians have failed to build adequate hospitals in Nigeria because they enjoy the privilege of traveling to countries with quality healthcare system.

Rema took to his Twitter page to shade the government for the poor state of the county’s healthcare system.

On March 25, 2020, top singer Rema took to his Twitter page to shade the government for the poor state of the county’s healthcare system.

According to him, politicians are now paying the price of the country’s crooked medical facilities at a time when coronavirus is eating deep into its political class and they have lost the luxury of traveling aboard.

“They refused to invest in hospitals because they could fly abroad to get treatments for themselves, now countries borders closed, Karma take the wheel,” he wrote.

It comes after the likes of Abba Kyari, Bauchi State Governor, Bala Muhammed and more Nigerian politicians were tested positive to COVID-19 that causes the novel coronavirus over the past 48 hours.

The World Health Organisation has declared coronavirus (COVID-19) a pandemic. Nigeria has fourty-six positive cases at the time of this writing.
