Noah reassures Elle that he wants their relationship to work but distance always takes it toll on relationships and theirs was not an exception. With Noah in Harvard and his past reputation, Elle is worried they would not work.
In the original movie, Elle made Lee choose whether to accept her relationship with his brother, Noah or reject it and end their friendship. Now, it’s Elle who has to choose whether to follow Lee to their mothers’ alma mater at UC Berkeley or find a school in Boston so she can join Noah.
Elle realizes she needs money if she would go to a private school so she decides to compete in a video game dance competition but Lee was not making it easy so they had no option than to ask for Marco’s help. Marco is the new student who is hot and attractive even Elle is not left behind in admiring him.
This movie is filled with a lot of drama with lots of suspense. At some point, I worried if Noah and Elle would work. This movie might test your patience but I can assure you it’s worth your time.
This teen romantic comedy has it all: betrayal, jealousy, mean girls, public apologies, a video game-dance competition, a heated Thanksgiving meltdown, both romantic and sad montages set to slow pop songs. You name it!
My favourite line was Marco telling himself Elle was totally worth it. This movie also had an inconclusive ending of Elle making a choice, does this mean we should expect a part 3?
The acting was excellent and Elle (Joey King) was my favourite character, she gave a brilliant performance.
