Oh dear! The Herald Newspaper used an image of rapper Stormzy on a story about Manchester United signee Romelu Lukaku, and was placed on the front page the news paper.

Stormzy blamed the newspaper after it used a picture of him instead of Manchester United’s new signing Romelu Lukaku in an embarrassing blunder from the Irish publication.

The Grime star took to Twitter after The Herald mixed the two men up writing: “I don’t find none of this funny btw.”

Stormzy, 23, added: “Don’t wanna sound like the party pooper who missed the joke…”

The paper replied to the performer: “Sincere apologies, we don’t think it’s funny either.”

In an apology on their website Alan Steenson, Herald Editor wrote: “Hands up, we got it badly wrong. Earlier, we made an error with a picture of Romelu Lukaku that wasn’t him. It was Stormy. To be honest, we are totally embarrassed and want to say sorry to all involved and our readers for the error. We will keep our eye on the ball in future.”

In this day and age of the ‘Internet’ and ‘Social media‘, you will think most media bodies are fully aware that not all black people look a like and will be extra careful, This News paper, The Herald clearly didn’t get that memo.

Why is it that only white people often times gets black people mixed up?
