Nigerian masseuse Joyce Ijeoma, who is attempting to set a Guinness World Record for the longest massage on different individuals, has reportedly collapsed.
Her collapse generated mixed reactions on social media platforms, with many praying for her recovery.
The 72-hour massage-a-thon attempt is ongoing in the Ikate and Lekki areas of Lagos State, Nigeria.
Although Ijeoma’s record will be a first, the closest would be the Guinness World Record for the Longest full-body massage at 25 hours, 4 minutes.
A South African, Alastair Galpin, recognized as the second Guinness World Records breaker of the 2000s (2000–2009), set the record in South Kalimantan, Indonesia, in November 2015.
In the now-viral video seen by The Nation, Ijeoma, who has done over 36 hours, collapsed.
A colleague at the scene was seen trying to help her through the ground while she struggled for balance.
The Instagram live, which aired her activities, ended abruptly.

The young masseuse has since gone viral after a video of her announcement surfaced on Sunday.
The trending video revealed her intentions to attempt the massage-a-thon challenge for 72 hours. The event began on Saturday, the 1st of July.
No official statement or update about the incident has been issued by her team as of the time of filing this report.
