Former president of U.S Barack Obama and former first Lady, Michelle Obama returned to the white house on Wednesday September 7 for the unveiling of their official Portraits, reviving the bipartisan tradition that stalled under the the Trump administration.
Since 5 years they left the office, this is their first time to visit the White House as a couple.
“Barack and Michelle, welcome home”, President Joe Biden said at the ceremony in the East Room celebrating the former first couple a round of applause as they were invited to the stage to unveil their official portraits.
“everything I love about Michelle, her grace, her intelligence and the fact that she is fine” Obama admires the picture of his wife in strapless dress and also thank the artist who painted the portrait of his wife.
On her part, Michelle delivered a passionate speech and said Obama portrait a biracial kid with an unusual name, and the daughter of a water pump operator and stay-at-home mom-serve as a reminder there’s a place for everyone in America.
