Legendary Nollywood actor and director Richard Mofe-Damijo has called on the Nigerian Custom Agency to step up and provide relief to Nigerians in lockdown as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
Mofe-Damijo has asked the Custom Agency to release all the seized food commodities under their custody and share the items amongst the poor masses struggling to fend for themselves.
The film maker took to his Instagram page on Wednesday, April 1, 2020, where he shared a photo of himself observing the sit at home order and then made known the thoughts going through his mind.
According to him, he is thinking that now would be the right time for the government to ask the Custom Agency to empty their warehouses of all the food items they have seized over the years so Nigerians can feed on them.
The federal government had announced on Sunday, March 29, 2020, that it was shutting down Abuja, Lagos and Ogun states for two weeks to help curtail the spread of the coronavirus in the country.
