Life is full of challenges and hurdles which sometimes push us into the corner of pain, shame and disgrace.  No one is born to be a failure or disappointment yet; many of us do things to create unbearable conditions for us and the people around us.

Life is a precious gift to us; it is our duty to unravel or unwrap it for us to enjoy what is in life. But it is also our responsibility to develop ourselves into what we want for ourselves in order to achieve the success and aspiration we have for ourselves.

Having a dream and aspiration to become a doctor, teacher, nurse, footballer, table tennis player, or a writer is not going to be possible without self-development. You develop yourself to become what you have always dreamt of becoming.

Self-development is a universal principle that leads to self-worth. Failure to develop yourself will deny you what you really and actually deserve in life.  Life becomes pain and pressure when one tries to avoid its principles.  Take for example; if you want to lose weight or gain knowledge about something, you need to set or make your mind up to develop or acquire that result for yourself.

Nobody will develop yourself for you

Our happiness and comfort in life is the very product of self-development. Whatever the ultimate goal and dream we have can only be birthed through the power of self-development.

Don’t look down upon yourself. The worst thing that you can ever do to yourself is to look down on yourself when others are looking up to you. Step up and keep up to journey on the road of self-development. This how you achieve the dreams and aspiration you have for yourself. Nobody is responsible to develop you but yourself.

To change the world and perceptions of others have about your is to change and develop yourself.

Here are some ways you can begin to develop and change your life

  1. Be positive and take the lead to make things happen
  2. Know exactly what your goal is and shoot it
  3. Set your priorities and follow them through.
  4. Think of the common good for everyone involved.
  5. Try to understand other people’s point of view and have an open mind to learn
  6. Constantly think of creative ways to remind you of your purpose in life
  7. Plan for your life and don’t leave it in other people’s hand
  8. Have a vision and keep your eyes on it. Focus
  9. Develop your willpower and never give up in the pursuit of your dream
  10. Have mentors who will be ready to help you and, you must learn to ask them the right questions.

I dare you to start believing in yourself to develop yourself to become all that life has for you. Never allow the setbacks, disappointments, rejections and family or social neglect prevent you from developing yourself.
