Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has written an epistle to his late son, Kambilichukwu, in celebration of his first posthumous birthday.

The young lad would have been 17 today, and this bereaved father took to his Instagram page to express sadness over his death.

Questioning if his son is doing well over there, he stated that he never knew he would ever have to do a write-up, but here he is.

He stated that he kept asking God to let him see his son again, and he did, but it was only through his dreams that his son was already taller, handsomer, and bigger.

The failed presidential aspirant admitted that life hasn’t been easy since his son’s death, but they are all doing their best to cope, though the pain is terrible.

However, he is strong, as he has to be strong for his siblings while still submitting totally to the will of God.

“Kambi yooooo!
Happy 17th birthday, my great son.
Hope you’re doing well over there.
I never knew I’ll ever do a write-up like this, but here we are.
Life.
I kept asking God to let me see you again, and he granted my wish.
And I saw you once in my dream.
You looked much taller and more handsome. And bigger. You were glowing.
Seems you’re now playing basketball over there and left football. You looked very happy. Obviously, life over there is quite different from here.
Down here we’re doing our best to cope. It’s not been easy without you around. The pain is terrible.
But I’m strong. Very strong.
I have to be strong for me and your siblings. While submitting totally to the will of God.
We miss you. We love you, but God loves you more.
You’re elevated now. Keep watching over us all.
Keep flying, son.
Till we meet again. Don’t stop playing football.
Happy 17th birthday, Son.
Daddy loves you”.

Recall that Yul and his estranged wife, May, lost their first son in January.

According to reports, Kambilichukwu had read throughout the night in preparation for his exams.

After his examination, he joined his friends to play football, where he slumped and developed a seizure and was immediately rushed to the hospital; unfortunately, he was confirmed dead.

Speaking out, May described the unfortunate incident as the most devastating and traumatic circumstance of her life.
