Actor Uche Maduagwu has said the silence of his senior colleague, Pete Edochie, on the marital crisis of his son, Yul Edochie, is worrisome.
Uche made the call after a video of Yul’s second wife, Judy, thanking God for his ‘protection” was released on Yul’s Facebook page over the weekend.
Judy was dragged down by internet users for making such a video, weeks after her husband and his first wife, May, lost their first son, Kambilichukwu.
In a post shared on his Instagram page, Uche stated that it is unheard of in Igbo land that a “first wife will be mourning the passing of her child and the second wife will be celebrating the safe delivery of her own child.”
He wrote; “Dear Sir PETE, your continuous SILENCE on this matter is unbelievably Worrisome, talk to your Pikin. Never in the History of African Culture, especially in the IGBO Tradition has something like this happened that 1st IYAWO go Dey Mourn her Pikin, and Husband go post video of 2nd IYAWO Jubilating and Thanking God for safe Delivery of her Pikin, is this a JOKE or what? ‘’He also shared a video in which he called on Pete Edochie to speak up.”

Pete Edochie break silence on Yul’s second wife
Africanglitz reported last year that Pete Edochie spoke about his son Yul Edochie picking a second wife.
We report that Pete Edochie, in an interview with Vanguard, gave insights about his relationship with his last child, Yul.
When asked about how he felt about Yul picking a second wife, Pete said that although it stands against his Christian beliefs, he would not fault him because Solomon in the Bible also had numerous wives and concubines.
“I didn’t feel good, but like I said I’m a Christian and I read the Bible. Solomon with 700 wives and 300 concubines, was branded a man of wisdom. it’s his choice and for whatever reason he decided to take a second wife, that’s what I can say,” the veteran actor said.
On if Yul is the child after his heart, Pete said: “All my children are after my heart. Whatever they do I am still their father, and I am very close to all of them. I don’t have a favourite one. And I didn’t raise them like that. Whatever you find in my house is accessible to all of them. I don’t contest their choices with them. If any one of them meets a girl and he’s in love with her and he wants to marry her, let that person go ahead and do so. I gave them the necessary education they require to stand on their own. I bought a car for each one of them when they graduated from the university.”
Answering the question of why Yul is so different from his other children, Pete Edochie said Yul Edochie is different because:
“He’s into show business and he tries to create controversies around himself. That’s why he has a lot of followers on social media.”
