The greatest sprinter of our time, Usain Bolt said farewell to his legion of fans yesterday evening (August 13). Bolt waved goodbye to the London Stadium crowd after the final event at the World Athletics Championships.
Arguably the most naturally gifted athlete the world has ever seen, Bolt, created history at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio when he achieved the ‘Triple Triple’, three gold medals at three consecutive Olympic Games.
The Glen Mills-trained athlete now goes into retirement with a plethora of medals and memories but was determined to pay homage to the fans that that have made him a global superstar.
He was presented with a segment of the London 2012 Olympics track which he dominated by winning 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay gold.
