Actress Hilda Dokubo & Kate Henshaw Are Not in Support of Senator Elisha Abbo AGN Patron Appointment

Nollywood veteran actress Hilda Dokubo and Kate Henshaw are leading an online protest against the newly appointed patron of Actor Guide of Nigeria, Senator Elisha Abbo.

Dokubo and Henshaw have both voiced their displeasure over the appointment of senator Elisha Abbo as the new patron of the Actor Guide of Nigeria (AGN).

Dokubo took to social media via her Instagram page on Tuesday, March 17, 2020, where she shared a video of herself calling out the guild’s president, Emeka Rollas on the decision to appoint the alleged woman beater senator as a patron of the guild.

An abuser of women as Patron of Actors Guild of Nigeria is an unpardonable abuse of the rights of all the females in the creative space especially #actors. We must stop every attempt at rubbishing our values as a people with such appointments in whatever guise. Meanwhile, Kate Henshaw reiterated her fellow woman and actress concern by re-posting the video on her Instagram page. She also slammed the AGN president for his decision to make Abbo a patron of the respected body.

“Still waiting on your response @emekarollas …..I will reach out to you again like I did yesterday and I would like you to kindly explain what thought processes led to this! The Actors Guild Of Nigeria deserves better and this is definitely not it!!!.” She wrote. 

When it comes to dealing with women, senator Elisha doesn’t have the best track record. The last time he made news headline was back in July 2019 when he was caught on camera physically assaulting a nursing mother at a sex toy shop.
