Forbes business magazine is back with its list of highest paid movie stars.
The recently released list featured 10 names of top earning actors and actresses in the world.
Sitting at the top of Forbes’s men’s list is Hollywood blockbuster actor, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, who grossed a staggering $89.4 million before tax. He is followed by Chris Hemsworth who earned $76.4 million for his acting exploits.
The other three actors in the first five spot are Robert Downey ($66 million), Akshay Kumar ($65 million), and Jackie Chan ($58 million).
In the women category, 35-year old Avengers star Scarlett Johansson leads the pack with $56 million. While Grey’s Anatomy mainstay Ellen Pompeo sits at number 10 with $22 million.
The take away from Forbes recent list of the highest paid movie stars is that gender pay-gap is still a Hollywood reality.
