“Just Call Me Harry” – Prince Relinquishes Royal Title As He Returns To Britain For Last Official Event

The Dutch of Sussex Prince Harry has demanded that organizers and delegates of an event holding in Edinburgh address him as just ‘Harry’.

Harry is giving up his princely title as part of the moves to step back as a senior member of the British royal family.

Prince Harry, who will step down as a senior royal in less than five weeks, is in the Scottish capital for his last official event, according to the Daily Mail.

And at the opening ceremony, the 35-year old Duke reportedly told all attending delegates to drop the princely title known to come before his name as revealed by the host of the event, Ayesha Hazarika.

“He’s made it clear that we are all just to call him Harry. So ladies and gentlemen, please give a big, warm, Scottish welcome to Harry,” said Ayesha Hazarika.

Harry, who is officially known as the Earl of Dumbarton when in Scotland, also took steps to make amend for the recent criticism received over the past months of his frequent use of private jets while campaigning on environmental issues by arriving at the Scottish capital by train on Tuesday night.

It come after the Duke and his wife Megan Markle shocked the world with the new of their impending withdrawal as senior members of the Royal family.

Senior royals were understood to be “disappointed” and “hurt” by the statement at the time because they weren’t informed or consulted prior to the announcement on the social media pages of the Sussex royal.

But Queen Elizabeth II would later agree for the duke and his young family to step back from royal duties and spend their time between North America and the UK as they desired after holding a constructive discussion involving them and other senior members of the Royal family.
