Africa Euro Hospitality Association and Igbo Cultural and Support Network (ICSN) hosted their annual pre-mothers day event on Saturday, the 3rd of March 2017 at the Park View Academy, West Green Road, London and it was a great night for mothers.
Hosted by Ambassador Tee and The Lioness, the evening was one to remember with music and dance from Wilson Sogreat Nwane, Don Dee, Onejah Morries, impressive Afrobeat music by DJ Omo Whyte amongst other cultural dance. Anambra State of Nigeria Women’s Association UK and Ireland ASNWA were guests of honour.
The Mothering Sunday has been celebrated in the United Kingdom since the 16th century. The “Mother’s Day” celebrations we know today, were founded in the 20th century by Anna Jarvis West Virginia, USA.
The event was organised to say THANK YOU to all mothers for the nurture, the sleepless nights, heartache, joy, laughter and all the hard work they do for their children. Delicious food was provided by Coco’s Afric-Carib Restaurant while our mothers enjoyed a funfilled evening.
