It was only just a matter of time before Odion Ighalo opened his Manchester United scoring account, which he has now done.
The former Super Eagles striker was on the scoresheet in United comfortable victory over Club Brugge in Thursday Europa League tie.
Ighalo found the net after converting from close range in the 5-0 trashing of the Belgium side.
By taking his chances last night, the 30-year-old becomes the first Nigerian to score for the Red Devils following his shock move in January. And as you would imagine, his maiden goal sent Twitter into a frenzy as fans and celebrities alike took to the platform to praised their former national hero.
From Nollywood actor Yul Edochie to Manchester United official Twitter account, these reactions are as good as they get.

Meanwhile, Ighalo celebrated his first goal for Manchester United by remembering his sister Mary who tragically died in December at her home in Canada.
He lifted his United jersey to reveal a picture of his sister and the date of her death before he was mobbed by team-mates.
Speaking after the match, Ighalo admitted upon his move to the north-west how sad he was that his sister would never see him play for the club.
“I feel very emotional because it has not really struck me that my sister is gone forever and I am never going to see her . Sometimes when I am alone and I just remember her, I have one sharp pain in my heart.
My twin sister,Akhere, will call me, crying, saying she misses her and, sometimes when I am alone, I cry too. It is a very painful loss but I am trying to be strong as a man.”
Hopefully his goal on Thursday will be the first of many to come.
