Omah Lay Pleased With Uganda Experience, Star Plans to Visit Country Again

The singer is adamant that his visit to the East African nation was a positive one.

Talented Nigerian singer Omah Didia, popularly known as Omah Lay, has revealed that he has zero regrets about going to Uganda despite his arrest and detention in the country.

Music prodigy Omah Lay made this known to Ebuka Obi-Uchendu at the Y Naija’s Rubbin Minds show where he recently appeared as a guest.

The duo sat down to speak at fair length on a slew of issues bordering from his quick rise to fame in the music industry and plans for the future.

At some point in the conversation, Ebuka asked Omah Lay whether he regrets traveling to Uganda for the music concert that culminated in his arrest. Surprisingly, he said no.

Rather, the fast-rising act stated that the night he spent with fans was nothing short of a beautiful one filled with energy. He also noted that he would love to be back in the country just to spend more time with the fans who cherished him.

Speaking further, the ‘Godly’ crooner added that he gleaned important lessons from the unpleasant incident that ensured and everything is now in the past. He promised to share vivid details of his Uganda experience in his upcoming album.

Omay Lay and fellow fast-rising act, Tems, were arrested and detained in Uganda for several days after their performance at The Big Brunch Concert held in Kampala against government-imposed social restriction amid the coronavirus pandemic.
