Popular Nollywood actress Rita Dominic has got a message for those people who are of the belief that flaunting of wealth on social media is the appropriate barometer used to measure one’s affluence.

The actress says that only those with poverty mentality and a strong liking for audio lifestyle subscribe to such idea.

Rita Dominic made this known via her Instagram stories on Wednesday, February 19, 2020. According to her, a lot of people are of the opinion that flooding social media with assorted types of designer wears and photos from exotic trips have become the yardstick to measure success, when it isn’t.

The movie star went on to  hammer on the need to be happy and contented with whatever one may have.

She wrote:

“So social media has become the yardstick to measure wealth? Lol. Some people think because you don’t post certain things like designer labels, holidays, how much you have, etc on your means you are not balling? Wow. Poverty mentality much? Happiness or balling in your word means different things to different people. This life isn’t that serious, be happy you are alive and healthy first and foremost #Selah.”

Recall that a while ago, Tonto Dikeh in the same manner admonished people not to get carried away or be deceived by the luxury things they see on social media.

According to the actress, life is not really as rosy as it seems on the internet, and most people save years ahead before they are able to take exotic trips. Therefore, one should learn to take what they see on social news feads with a grin of salt.
