Delsie Gayle is a 77-year woman was earlier this week was the subject of horrible racial abuse from a fellow passenger on a Ryanair flight from a holiday in Spain. She had a horrific verbal attack which left her feeling ‘stunned’ and ‘depressed’.
Captured on film, the male passenger is seen shouting at Ms Gayle, who suffers from arthritis, telling her to move seats so he could get to the window seat. Despite Delsie’s disability, the man proceeded to shout and swear until she moved.
So far, Ryanair have not apologised to Ms Gayle who was returning from a holiday intended to cheer her up after the anniversary of her husband’s death.
Speaking to ITV This Morning, alongside her daughter, Carol 53, who narrated her own side of the incident. Her daughter who was with her was on her way to the toilet when it all started, also narrated her own experience on the incident.
Carol criticised Ryanair’s response and said her mother had not yet received an apology from the airline. “He should have been moved or taken off the plane and nothing was done … Nobody has apologised. We’ve not had nothing. We just want an open apology from Ryanair,” she said.

THE INCIDENT
In the footage, the man calls Gayle an “ugly black bastard” and shouts: “Don’t speak to me in a foreign language, you stupid ugly cow.” Gayle, who is of Jamaican origin, was speaking English.
The incident took place on a Ryanair plane before it left Barcelona for London Stansted.
Ryanair did not remove the man from the flight, instead they had Gayle change seats.
Gayle said it had put her off flying with the airline. “I feel really depressed about it. I go to bed and say ‘what have I done?’,” she said.
