Recall that in October, Mr. Ibu cried out to the public for help as he battled an ailment that could get him amputated.

Nigerian music sensations Davido and P-Square, along with the popular personality Tunde Ednut, had offered to cover the medical expenses of the legendary actor.

Former Senate President Bukola Saraki had cleared off his medical bills through his foundation.

The actor underwent five surgeries, which were all successful. A month later, Jasmine, his daughter, revealed that one of his legs had to be cut to increase his chances of recovery, and he had undergone seven successful surgeries.

In the last update on his health, the veteran had been amputated again, as a part of the same leg that was initially amputated was cut off.

Reports had it that his health was deteriorating, and it had gotten to the stage where he hardly talked again.

Dr. Emeka Rollas, the National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN, confirmed it as he resigned the actor to fate.

A few days ago, Jasmine, his adopted daughter, penned a note to singer Paul Okoye, appreciating him for standing in the gap.

She noted how the singer, despite his busy schedule, was there from the beginning and stood till the end, yet he didn’t make a noise about it.

She further praised the singer for keeping all his good deeds in silence.

Jasmine also appreciated the general public for standing by her ailing father, as she revealed that last year was overwhelming, both the good and the bad.
