Actor and TV Host Whoopi Goldberg is branching out into the fashion industry and has announced plans to launch her first ever clothing line called Dugbee.

Dugbee is centred around comfort and inclusivity, with sizes ranging from 1x-3x (size 14 to 24).

The brand features 41-piece premiere collection featuring a range of flattering and relaxed silhouettes including tunics, cocoon dresses, drawstring trousers and patterned shirts, which Whoopi has been modelling over the past few months.

The brand’s Instagram bio also states that “DUBGEE has no race, creed, age or size. It’s meant to make you feel good about how you look and feel,” states the brand’s Instagram bio.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, the Academy Award-winner said: “We are creating clothes for all body types that can be worn differently and will be comfortable. It all stemmed from a vacation I took to Greece. I felt weird about my body, and I was having such a hard time finding something there that made me feel good.

“So I decided to create something that has more loose fitting styles that are flattering for all body types.”

“There is a huge gap in the market for fashion that is fun and within your size range. Our collection goes up to size 24 and anyone can wear it.”

Dugbee launches today (May 15) and is sold at Neiman Marcus, Amazon and Dugbee.com.
