The world’s richest man has stepped up to lead the charge that will hopefully save planet Earth and our natural world from the irreversible damage that experts in climate conditions continue to warn of due to unfavorable climate changes.

Amazon chief executive Jeff Bezos has announced that he is committing $10 billion to address the climate crisis in a new initiative he calls the Bezos Earth Fund.

Jeff made the announcement via his official Instagram page on Monday, February 17, 2020, where he explained how the massive fund will be used.

According to him,the money will be used to help scientists, activists, NGOs, and any effort that offers a real possibility to help preserve the earth from the impact of climate change.

The fund plans to begin issuing grants later this year, but right now, there are few details on how or when applications for grants will be accepted.

Climate change is the biggest threat
to our planet. I want to work alongside others both to amplify known ways and to explore new ways of fighting the devastating impact of climate change on this planet we all share. This global initiative will fund scientists, activists, NGOs any effort that offers a real possibility to help preserve and protect the natural world. We can save Earth. It’s going to take collective action from big companies, small companies, nation states, global organizations, and individuals. ⁣⁣⁣
